December 2019 Trover Travel Scholarship

We are inspired every day by the beautiful discoveries you share with us. To honor the vibrancy and value that each of you brings to Trover, we created the $500 Trover Travel Scholarship. Each month, we award it to one traveler who has particularly inspired us with their photos and stories.

This month, we’re thrilled to award the Trover Travel Scholarship to Gary Burke!

Meet Gary Burke! His colorful cinematic photos reflect an appreciation of movies and video games, while in-depth travel insights capture the story behind his delightful discoveries. As an avid traveler, his home in New York City is a great jumping-off point for exploration. And as a toy photographer and enthusiast, there’s always a few action figures tucked in his bag, perfect for toy photography on-the-go! Gary emphasizes packing light for your travels—making the switch to a Sony A6300 mirrorless last year lightened his own camera bag. Along with a few personal tidbits and travel tips, we asked Gary to tell us about his favorite discoveries he’s shared on Trover. Take it away, Gary!
